If you’re looking to start selling at artist alleys, or just simply want to know how to be a successful artist, this is my honest and humble advice for you.
Many beginner artists I know tend to ask some if not all of the following questions:
- How much stock should I bring?
- How much should I price?
- Do you think someone will buy this?
- Should I sell “insert product name”?
- Where can I get my product made?
- How big should I make my products?
- Should I sell fanart?
The list seems to go on and on.
I just want to tell you that you don’t need to know all those things! At least, not at the beginning.
What you need to focus on is YOU.
YOU, the artist.
YOU are the MOST IMPORTANT part of your business.
Work on your vision, what you want to produce, what impact do you want to have on the world with your artwork.
That is what you need to think about.
First and foremost.
And you have to go back and check if you are being consistent with your vision.
All the time.
Trust me, this is important. And it is something that I am working on everyday.
Please let me know what you think!
And if you’ve been struggling to make money at artist alleys, I’ve made a course to help you do just that:

Annnd, just a personal update:
I MISS YOU ALL SO MUCH!!! And art too. It’s been rather a challenge making videos and artwork simultaneously but I KNOW I want to do both. I promise I’ve been working to organize my schedule in a way that I can do both AND keep in touch with you all.
I’ve done a lot of reflecting on the type of artwork I want to create. It has been rather difficult getting back to drawing after so many months of hiatus for the course, but I’m very excited to create new original artwork that’s been marinating in my head for DAYS.
I hope to have it all cooked up and ready to serve in the weeks to come!
Thank you all for your support and patience as always! Love you all!
P.S. I WILL be tabling at AX again! Don’t say I didn’t tell you sooner! XD
